Jaime Suchlicki

           Dr. Jaime Suchlicki, a Cuban Jewish professor, left Cuba in 1960 because he was dissatisfied with the government. After earning his PhD in history in Texas, he returned to the University of Miami, where he taught for 50 years. He is the author of numerous books, the most well-known of which is Cuba: From Columbus to Castro. He retired in 2017 and is an expert on US and Cuban foreign policy.
